Precinct 224 Democrats: Who We Are

Who We Are

Precinct 224 Democrats is a grassroots neighborhood organization established as a means for Democrats in our precinct to network, inform our neighboors about Democratic candidates and issues, and help get out the vote for elections.

What we stand for...

We want to see our government, at all levels, return to core Democratic Party values by acting on behalf of the common good:

To better regulate corporate/business behavior and prevent corruption

To protect consumer rights, labor interests, civil rights, public health, and the environment

To invest more resources in education, public transportation and safety, renewable energy, and the cultural infrastructure

To make health care accessible to all

To end poverty and ensure access to social services by low-income people

To respond effectively to the threat of terrorism and end the war in Iraq
